Meetn: How to Add Instagram Live to Your Livestream

Ready to take your Instagram Live experience to the next level? RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) streaming offers a powerful way to broadcast high-quality video directly to your audience. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to set up RTMP streaming for Instagram Live for your Meetn events.

Retrieving Your Stream Key and URL:

Make sure you have a Professional Instagram account.
Open instagram.com and click the “Add post” button (plus symbol inside a square) and select Live from the dropdown menu.
Within the Go Live screen, enter the title of your live video and select your audience:
- Practice will not broadcast to anyone
- Public will broadcast to your followers as a normal live video would
You will then see a screen that contains your unique URL and Stream Key. You will need these to stream from Meetn.

Adding Instragram to Meetn:

In a separate tab, go to Meetn.com and log into your room. Do not close the Instagram tab.
Click Stream Manager, then Add Destination, and select Custom RTMP.
Enter your URL and Stream Key from Instagram.
Click Add RTMP Server.
When you’re ready to go live, give your stream a Title and Select the destinations you want to include in your stream
Click Start Streaming to stream to your selected destinations.
